CALIFORNIA TUBERCULOSIS UPDATE
On
April 15th, 2010 the USDA issued a Federal Order that stated:
“Cattle originating in the state of California may move interstate without
restriction.”
However….. states retain the ability to set their own import
regulations under the Federal order. Some states still have restrictions on
breeding stock and cattle going to grass.
BUYERS: Please check with a state
vet in your destination state for current rules prior to the sale.
California cattle will be sold WITHOUT a Tuberculosis (TB) test, Premise
ID and/or official individual animal identification ear tags…UNLESS stated in
the catalog or announced from the auction block.
