CALIFORNIA TUBERCULOSIS UPDATE

On April 15th, 2010 the USDA issued a Federal Order that stated:
“Cattle originating in the state of California may move interstate without restriction.”

However….. states retain the ability to set their own import regulations under the Federal order. Some states still have restrictions on breeding stock and cattle going to grass.

BUYERS: Please check with a state vet in your destination state for current rules prior to the sale.

California cattle will be sold WITHOUT a Tuberculosis (TB) test, Premise ID and/or official individual animal identification ear tags…UNLESS stated in the catalog or announced from the auction block.
