Communications satellites come and go with time…and their orbits are often changing. Below is a fairly recent list of the most frequently used C-Band satellites with their relative positions in the sky and the programming that will allow you to identify the satellite.

* Satellite G26 is highlighted in this lineup. G26 is the satellite formerly known as TELSTAR 6 and may be stored in your remote control as T6 . However, to find it manually, you can go to Galaxy 3R (G3) and move the dish to the east (<)….or you can go to Galaxy 7 (G7) and move the dish to the west (>). If you're having difficulty, you may want to consult your satellite technician prior to the sale.
