WVMcattle.com will work hand-in-hand with the present WESTERN VIDEO MARKET satellite sales. As soon as cattle are consigned to the video sale and they're written up and filmed...sellers will have the option of offering them for direct sale on this web site...with an asking price determined by the seller!
As soon as the cattle sell on WVMcattle.com, the consignor will receive a $40/head down payment...the same as for the video sales.
In the event the cattle don't sell on the Internet before the video sale catalog is put together, that lot will be rolled over into the video catalog...to be sold via satellite. This gives the cattle extra exposure and creates an added opportunity to get a satisfactory price....all the while maintaining the video sale as an ace-in-the-hole....and all at no additional cost to the consignor! The limited time the cattle spend on the web site keeps them from becoming over-exposed and stale to the buyer. And buyers will have a chance to bid on dozens of sets of quality Western cattle....in the comfort and convenience of their offices....on the buyer's schedule.

must be a registered buyer to bid on cattle!

* Buyers who are presently registered with WESTERN VIDEO MARKET are automatically registered with WVMcattle.com. To find out your Username and Password, please contact us at: (530) 347-3793 or wvm@wvmcattle.com.... or go to the Buyer Registry page and register there.
* New buyers who want to participate can notify WVMcattle.com by e-mail (wvm@wvmcattle.com), by phone (530-347-3793) or by filling out the online registration form (Buyer Registry Page). WVMcattle.com will take contact information and assign a Username and Password by e-mail or telephone.
* Buyer registration information will be secured and maintained in a database for our office use only.
THE BIDDING PROCESS
* COMPLETE
LIST PAGE - This page displays all
current lots accepting bids. It is presented in roughly the same form as
the SALE ORDER for Western Video Market sales. There is a link on
each lot for:
BID PAGE and DETAILS. Viewers have the option of
sorting each column (alphabetically or by number, depending on the field). Lots
are displayed on the web site until the Western Video Market sale catalog is
assembled or the cattle are sold, at
which time they will be inactivated (see DAILY BID PROCESSING below).
* SEARCH PAGE - This page allows prospective buyers to enter search parameters (e.g.- sex, weight range, location, implants, delivery, etc.) to find cattle they're looking for. Results will be displayed in the same format as the Complete List Page (see above).
* BID PAGE - The BID link takes the buyer to a log-in page where he is prompted to enter a Username and Password, which has been supplied by the WVMcattle.com office. Once you're logged in, there is no need to do it again for each lot. Once the username and password are approved, the bid page for the selected lot will appear, where the buyer can submit his bid. That bid is immediately sent to the COMPLETE LIST page. This page is dynamic and will be refreshed at short intervals so all bidders can view current pricing. The seller has the option of accepting the current bid, after which the auction for that lot is closed. The bidder has the option of withdrawing his unaccepted bid at any time prior to the close of trading that day. If the bidder meets the seller's asking price, bidding is closed immediately and the sale is automatically completed. All bids are only good through Midnight of the trading day (see DAILY BID PROCESSING below). As soon as a bid is accepted and the cattle are sold: buyer, seller and WVMcattle.com are notified as to: Lot Number, Buyer and Price.
* DETAIL PAGE - This page includes details on each lot, similar to the present video sale catalog. It also includes photos of the cattle when they are available.
* DAILY
BID PROCESSING - Trading hours are
Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM (Pacific) to 4:00 PM (Pacific).
We all know the cattle market changes daily, so....Bids are only good until midnight
each trading day. At that time, all unsuccessful bids are automatically purged and are no
longer binding on the bidder. Everything starts from scratch...every day of the
sale.
